So far have only tested this in/out of the garage on a sunny day, so will need to see how the lighting adjusts during dawn and dusk situations. But what a vast improvement!
That's great news! Thanks for posting this, Tom.
I've made an appointment with my local GM dealer to have the reprogramming carried out, on Nov. 7th. I'm glad there's finally a fix for this - the improperly controlled day/night auto-dimming LCD panels have been a real bother in my '16 Envision - definitely the #1 issue.

Unhappy same day/nite problem

Just got a 2017 Envision and the same thing. Even on darker cloudy days it dims and you can barley see dash and backup
cam is hard to see. Mentioned to dealership and they know nothing I emailed this into to them.

How can they claim to know nothing if there was a TSB that came out ?!

I hope you plan to try a different dealer as some go right off the book and what they get in the form of a TSB, or the service advisor isn't being as helpful as they could be or for whatever reason under the dealership sun.

Look up reviews of other Buick dealers and hopefully you can find that alternative. Keep us posted.

At least its just this and nothing immobilizing.

I showed my Buick service Manager and told him about the notice at this site. He said he would look into it.

Definitely hope they follow up with ya soon, it's the holiday season and a lot of managers and whatnot like to take their vacation time.

you should take this time to analyze the rest of the vehicle and see what else they could into before you finally make a visit. Better to batch whatever you can while you can. Even simple trips to the dealer can take a lot of time.

Low visibility nav screent

I have the same problem with my 2017 Envision which I picked up on Dec 21. Is there a fix? The nav system becomes unusable at dusk and sunrise or when driving in cloudy weather. Screen is almost black.
Moa57 and June Ross Barton like this.
