bose speakers

just got a new premium II with the bose system.. does anyone have any idea what the speaker arrangement is? it says 7 speaker system but I'm wondering if the number 7 is a stupid centre speaker like in my canyon Denali or if it's a true subwoofer like what was under the centre console on my full size Denali I had a few years ago..

I've been looking for any technical data on the system but really can't find anything..

I find my sound is better if I set the balance a little to the back. Love the Bose sound system, it's the best!

Remember too that a sound system I'd only as good as the sound deadening.

Envision Bose blows away the Sony system on my Flex Limited. No contest!

Interesting, I find that the "THXII Certified" audio system in my Lincoln is superior to the BOSE in the Envision. Not sure if your Flex limited has the same THXII system or not.

It may have something to do I suppose with sound deadening in the Lincoln, as referenced above. I will say that the Envision BOSE system is better than most prior GM BOSE systems I have had, including our current 2014 Impala. I am a GM guy and the Lincoln is the first and last Ford product I'll likely have. Love the Lincoln, but don't love the dealership service departments around me.

The last GM BOSE system I had that truly was incredible, was in my 2007 Escalade. I'm going to say this is the 2nd best BOSE system we have had (in the Envision). No complaints about it, but it just doesn't seem to have endless power like I feel I had the 2007 Escalade and have in the Lincoln. Admittedly, it's all subjective.......

2014 Impala LTZ 3.6 V6 Limited (Summit White)
2010 Lincoln MKS AWD Twin Turbo; Livernois Motorsports tuned; 0-60 3.94 seconds (Steel Blue Metallic)

According to the user guide, my Flex has Sony sound system with 390 watts, 12 "premium" speakers, incl rear subwoofer. No mention of THX. Not near as good to my ear as the Envision Prem II Bose system.

I don't have the information right in front of me but I'm pretty sure that the THXII has 600 watts....... And to clarify, I think that the Envision Bose system in our premium I is really good. It's just not the best I've ever had. My wife drives that vehicle and she is 100% happy with it.....as am I.....

I agree I did the same thing offset the sound to the rear and ever so slightly right. At least to my ears (which I might add are not the best) seems to provide more separation and richer sound. All in all it is a very nice sounding system.
