Long time driver

I am an 82 year old male who has owned 51 cars since starting to drive. 15 of those were buicks, and included various models. I worked for General Motors for 38 years and during that period, drove many company cars. I purchased my Premium I Envision in June and have been very happy with the car. I have had the few minor issues that others seem to have had but all have been resolved to my satisfaction. My buying philosophy has always been that if I liked the looks of a car and liked the way it drove, buy it. This approach has served me well over the years. Glad to be aboard!

Sticking your neck out there on a foreign car like me! I had a 1997 Regal GS 3800SC but went Saab and Mercedes for the Euro appeal and feel.

Now Buick is mostly Opel and Saab is gone I've been in love with Buick since my Verano (Opel Astra) and Buick Encore (Opel Mokka ) with their turbo-4's it was a no brainer on the Envision regardless where it is assembled. Especially with Ecotec 2.0T and Twin Active Clutch AWD.

Though the critics can say all they want it is the Envision that beats the Equinox and Terrain 2.0T in MT figure-8 handling and braking to a stop from 60 along Consumer Reports Emergency Lane Change test with a class leading 55.5 mph that smokes Mercedes and BMW and matches Porsche Macan.

The 32.5 mph at 65 mph is just the cherry on the cake!

I had a couple of Saab 9 3"s and my daughter has a Mercedes C300. Both are or were great cars. Also had a couple of Toyota Minivans and a Venza AWD. They were all acceptable but I never experienced the service they were supposedly famous for. I never let the point of origin bother me, as a lot of people would be surprised where their cars are assembled. I especially like the quietness of the Envision and the performance of the 2.0. I am sorry to say that I do not get the mileage that some of you do but most of my driving is city driving and I have a heavy foot at the traffic lights. I have 8,000 on the odometer so don't expect the mileage to improve. All in all I am well satisfied with the Envision.

Having owned a few all wheel drives and having been through several snows this winter, I have to say that the Envision performs better than any car I have had prior to this. It gives a real sense of confidence both starting and stopping.

Which model and tire brand does yours have? The Premium model got a UHP (ultra high performance ) all season tires and it does ok on the packed, white stuff. Definitely not scary and fun when doing power slides like a rear wheel drive car with electronics turned off

Hankook

Mine has the Hankook Ventus S1 EVO. Seems to have real good traction and sticks good through the curves. Don't know about the wear as I only have a little over 8k miles. My first experience with Hankook.

Seems to be a good tire and it shows little wear in between oil changes.
