Exclamation 3/5 Stars, Not Good!

Looking up reviews of the Envision, I'm feeling discouraged. Originally likes the idea of owning one based off design and my overall positive outlook on Buick but a quick search of reviews turns out an average rating of 3/5 Stars, MotorTrend gave it 2 Stars.

Hearing from owners like yourself might help to better understand this. To all owners here, what would you rate the Envision and why?

Don't forget to vote on the poll above.

Which reviews have you taken in (from which publications) and what were the corresponding "star" ratings?

Like I said, if you search google there are some that show up on that first page. Those reviews are from the typical big publications.

The rating I gave was an overall average of the the many ratings posted throughout. See for yourself, do the search.

I think people will eventually get over it. I mean look at Encore, it's built in Korea. Not that many people like it at first, but look at where it is now?

Edmunds has it at 3.7/5 and cars.usnews.com has it at 8.1/10, car&driver gave a pretty straightforward and not "negative" verdict on it, NHTSA has it rated very well for safety and so does IIHS.

Look beyond just stars and read the content of the reviews and you'll see it's really not that bad.

Valid point on timing since for all we know these could get worse as owners clear the break in threshold and into a point they're racking up some good mileage. SO FAR, face value of the Envision is of no concern but what we'll learn in the coming weeks and months (or now from current owners with good mileage) is whats interesting.

Owners, please leave feedback.

I honestly take it as a grain of salt. If you like the vehicle then it should be the huge factor of what other people think except for reliability

I love my new Envision Premium II. We test dove just about everything in this category from Ford to BMW and came back to the Buick. For the money, it had the most features we were last owing for. People will say that for the same price one can buy a high end European small SUV, but that's not true once you load up a BMW, Mercedes or Audi with the same options, if those options are even available, which in the case of BMW and Audi they are not. The ride is comfortable. It's not a sport car, but it does handle well, its quiet and the engine has plenty of power. I was skeptical since I've been in a 6 cylinder engine for the last 15 years or so. GM always takes good care of us and I don't give a fig that the car was built in China.

Which features stuck out to you that weren't available on the Audi and BMW that you were testing??

What composes those 2 and 3 out 5 stars...nothing. You'll have to read the review and compare for yourself. That Christian Seabaugh on the Motortrend reviews is a real tool. I comment in the readers section that have suspended that the seat backs in my friend's Range Rover, that gets close to $80,000, has plastic front seat backs. Allot of those tests are best on MSRP which nobody pays.

The Consumer Reports video complains about the Envision handling and then goes onto gush over the Jaguar F-Pace handling. When I review CR'S handling test the Envision has the same collision avoidance speed as....you guessed it....the Jaguar.

If you don't want to spend more for 2016 Premium l or ll (middle $30's under 10,000 miles), there is usually someone on cars or autotrader selling brand 2017 Essence for $10,000 off MSRP. Or about $27,000. No amount of sound deadening on a $19,000 cuv is going match the Buick on quietness and price.
