Road trips can be a joy so long as the vehicle of choice is a comfortable one and the new Buick Envision fits the bill. Éric Descarries, an Auto123 contributor, certainly thinks it’s perfect for long, comfortable road trips after driving one from Montreal to New York.
Departing from Montreal, their 6 hour drive began with the crossing of the Champlain Bridge. The trip may have just begun, but they’ve already noticed just how quiet the Buick Envision’s cabin is. Combined with cruise control feature and good visibility out of the cabin, the Envision gave them ample opportunity to take in the sights. Sure, acceleration from 0-100 km/h may take around 8 seconds, but that’s enough to pass those pesky trucks.
With so many hours spent inside a small space, a pleasant environment is necessary and the Buick Envision Premium II has that in spades. Luxurious materials can be found all around the cabin and they are both pleasant to look at and touch. Heated and ventilated front seats combined with ample legroom offers impressive comfort on long trips.
Of course all road trips involves luggage and the Envision’s cargo space was more than adequate to house the bags of two people. In this case, it was the luggage of two people and a large picnic basket. If they decided to pick up a few souvenirs along the way, those rear seats can be folded down for more storage space.
Some may be critical of this Chinese-built model, but the Envision is more than capable of winning them over.
