2021 Avenir Towing Experience

Has anyone used their Envision specifically the Avenir package to perform any towing. I purchased the towing package and intend on pulling a light 5 x 8 aluminum covered trailer and motorcycle to Florida. Did it with my 2.0 liter Chev Equinox with no issues other than lousy fuel mileage. Any positive or negative experiences or issues crop up?

Installed the Curt tow bar on my 2018 Envision 2.0 L turbo to tow my fishing boat on 50 mile trips. Trailor with boat and gear weigh in right around 1,000 pounds and I can't notice any power loss while towing and oil temp gage doesn't rise but then I am not towing over mountain's, just one fairly steep 2 mile hill.
My issue is that GM offers the Cadillac XT4 with a 3500 lb towing capacity option for $655 Canadian. The XT4 has basically the same chassis, engine and tranny as the 2021 Envision but the Buick is only equipped to carry 1500 lbs and the option costs $815??? Why. The same is true of the 2018 2 liter Equinox/Terrain (with 9 speed tranny) which were rated to carry 3500 lbs and yet the 2 liter Envision was only rated for 1500?? Why has GM castrated the Buick line?? I know my trailer will be right around the 1500 lb mark for towing. I've already done a 40 minute test run with no issues and there is no problem with power or braking but what about a long haul at the max rating. The Equinox did it with no issues both down and back to Florida. I don't expect any problems but was wondering if anyone else has tried?
