I've had my Envision about six weeks now and I'm still in love with it. Two things I love that I didn't know about until I got it home are 1-holding the unlock button on the key fob will lower the windows. Great for letting hot air out of the car as you approach it and 2-being able to customize your infotainment screen from the "My Buick" app.

Something I don't like is the fact that the Chevy Blazer Premium package offers a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel but the Envision Avenir doesn't.

My dislike is that the seat belts get stuck between the seat and door post when I go to put them on. This is because the belt stop for the chrome latch is too low. I solved this by buying a locking clip from Amazon that attaches to the belt so the latch rides up higher on the belt. Also when first driving in the day, the transmission seems to be searching for a gear. It's almost like the engine is miss firing but the tach is not fluctuating so I assume it must be the trans. After it is warmed up, it does not do it anymore.

I had a 2020 Envision....got it in Jan of this year... I go for a oil change and the dealer offers me 2 grand more than I paid for it...guess they are dying for used cars.... I bickered for hours and finally got a great deal on a 2021 Envision which has been redesigned inside and out. Love it...picky things I don't like though. There are way fewer charging ports on the 2021. Got the same color dark blue but the seats in the 21 are beige which is not a deal breaker but would have liked the blue seats I had on the 20. First world problems I guess. Oh, the entertainment screen is huge. The dash is more of a cockpit wrap around...really nice...I hope when I go for a oil change in 6 months I don't get a 22...

Love the looks of the ST package, the leather seats, fuel mileage, quiet smooth ride, seamless shifting canadian warranty is awesome, the AWD in snow is great!

I don't like the fake exhaust tips, lack of fog lights, tiltled dash towards driver, the lack of being able to order certain options with the ST package in Canada. (Adaptive cruise, nav, cooled seats etc)

I have had BMWs, a 2006 Z4 and a 2015 428i, both were great cars but when my 428i ran out of warranty, time to look elsewhere. Looked at SUVs, decided to try the 2021 Envision Essence ST, steel gray with a dark gray/black interior. I was initially worried about the dark interior and the NC summers but I was delighted at how quickly it cooled. Bought a WeatherTech cargo unit since I got the Buick floor weather mats. I will say I am a car fanatic of sorts but after almost eight months, I still love it!

So, I go for an oil change yesterday and dambit... I walked into the showroom to look at the cars there....big mistake...It was like walking into a shark tank wearing tuna deodorant. This guys keeps telling me he will give me 2 grand more than I paid for the 2021 and will give me a great deal on a 22. I'm like, no no , I'm good but he said sit down, we will see what we can do. I wasn't forceful enough to say go to hell...for an hour he hounded me...made me go out to look at the 22s.... I said I already have a new car...he said a 22 would be newer!... I was so pissed. Next time I go for service I will not go into the showroom... will go out the back door and go across the street.

You should have asked if the 22 had a heated steering wheel or heated back seats. Because of the chip shortage many GM cars have been shipped to dealers without those options.

The 'radio preset' selector on my 19:
On the steering wheel, While listening to FM, I can toggle up and down the 'favorites/presets' but each one takes 2 whole seconds to tune. infuriating if i'm trying to rapidly scan the radio for a station that i need to wait seconds for the radio to change. When you press the 'skip-up' button on the steering wheel, instead of immediately giving you the next preset station, it shows the list of favorites and lets you select which you want (and hesitates 2 seconds for you to select whichever you like)... I wish it was instantaneous like my chevy volt.

I sent a 4 page letter to the Buick Customer Experience email based on my observations from owing the 2023 Envision Avenir for a month. I hope to get a response and maybe they will consider some ideas from it.

One YouTuber called their thoughts: Perks/Quirks/Irks. Maybe we can start a thread about that topic. I wonder if Buick looks at this site to see what owners think? (y)

Hello All!

We are very happy with our Sapphire Metallic Blue 2023 Buick Envision Avenir, and really love the Whisper Beige Interior. It was a tough choice between the Sapphire Metallic Blue and the Rich Garnet Metallic paint! :)

Here are some perks, quirks, and irks (in no particular order) that we have found after living with the Envision Avenir for about a month. Please note that the quirks and irks were not deal breakers, just some observations.

Perks:
======
• HUD
• Full LED lighting with cool welcome light shows
• Massive Sun Roof w/power shade
• 9 Speed transmission, Not a CVT
• Soft-tick fake turn signal clicks (almost like a slow horse clomping) which the volume can be turned down in vehicle settings, and nice warning chimes
• Leather Everywhere, nice embroidered seats
• Comfortable and roomy Seats, in the back too
• No Prop-rod on the Hood
• Spare Tire, no fix-a-flat kit
• Hide-a-way Child seat Anchors with attached caps
• Huge Touch Display
• Auto Start/Stop with on/off switch
• Heated Steering Wheel feels nice, but thickness at 9 and 3 o'clock makes gripping there uncomfortable
• Awesome Cornering and Steering head lamps
• Super HD 360 Surround Vision Cameras (It would be cool if the top down view of the car was the color of car with sun roof)
• Smooth Damp Controlled Suspension
• Rear Camera Mirror (does not seem to have same HD level as rear backup camera though - when zoomed in to match what a real mirror would see)
• All the Safety Nannies
• Can view the screens and HUD even with polarized glasses on
• Acoustic Laminated Glass
• Dash is completely black until the car is powered on
• Based on the Cadillac XT4 but looks much better
• Unique Clear LED Tail Lights
• Full OnStar for 3 years
• Wireless Car Play/Android Auto
• Weather & other Apps
• Sign on to Buick User App brought down radio and map favorite settings from my Chevrolet Equinox user account
• Split opening front arm rest
• 20" Wheels are super sharp! (Purchased Wheel Locks)
• Wheel center caps have original tri-color Buick Emblem
• Rear Seat and Cell Phone Wireless Charging Reminder Alerts when exiting
• Bose Sound system sounds great, but tweeters up front could be crisper. I am missing a lot of the highs from cymbal crashes, and etc.
• Buick Logo Light by Hatch to Open, but opening and closing seems slower than the Equinox
• Doors open wide for easy entry/exit and loading
• No paid Subscriptions required for using installed equipment such as heated seats, remote start, or rolling down the windows
• Buick User App is nice, but my closest Buick dealership is not listed when purchasing items

Quirks:
=======
• Is the "wood trim" on the doors wood/plastic/aluminum?
• Rear Wiper is on bottom of the rear glass instead of tucked under the spoiler at top. This collects rocks, dirt, and leaves that scratch the glass
• Faux exhaust outlets
• Shiny black interior trim looks nice, but is a dust and finger print magnet
• Super HD 10.2" screen points at the roof, not driver's face. But leaves the front passenger with no premium or luxury dash to look at
• Precision Shift Buttons vs. Gear shifter
• Engine Cover just says TURBO. No Buick emblem?
• I do not mind the analog gauges
• Center Arm Rest does not feel padded much, also compartment is not felt lined
• Glove box not felt lined or lockable
• Some nice white ambient lighting, but not color changing, and a blank, dark spot in front of the front passenger seat with no light on trim there
• Fuel Prices in Nav Menu Search (mostly inaccurate), but should be shown by the map Gas Station (POI) Icons so you do not have to search for them
• Fuel door on passenger side, not driver side
• Driver side window controls do not include auto up for rear passenger windows
• No folding outside mirrors on a premium luxury car?
• No storage in rear center arm rest
• No Sun Shades on rear passenger windows
• Rear passenger windows roll down/up faster than front windows
• No Amber turn signals in rear, all red LEDs
• No Emergency Safety Triangle by spare tire
• HD Screen but no album art on Bluetooth or USB connected devices
• I think it has automatic hill-hold at >5% grade for 1 1/2 seconds

Irks:
=====
• No Fog lights
• No Amber Turn signal LEDs on outside mirrors
• No Park Assist "Departure" Option (Disabled)
• No Folding Rear Seat releases in rear hatch area
• No LED Light or USB ports inside deep center console
• No Rain-sense Wipers
• No Eye Glasses holder in front roof console
• No Metal trim on lift gate scuff plate
• No Air Ionizer
• No Seat massage or lumbar on top trim Avenir
• No Puddle Lamps outside, just lights up on inside when approaching
• No Umbrella holders in the doors
• No Reclining/Sliding Rear Seats
• No Center rear seat headrest/neck protection
• No Metal trim on items in rear seating area. Not many noticeable premium/luxury touches in rear seating area or hatch area
• Purchased 'fully loaded' Avenir trim only to find options and equipment were missing
• 'Dealer Installed' options should indicate extra labor costs on Monroney Sticker
• Same lighting and door switch gear as Chevrolet, not Premium Luxury
• Windows make a loud thunk when rolled down after a while startling passengers

As Columbo would say: "Just one more thing."

When opening the front doors, because the door handle is further inside the edge of the door, and the top of the door edge protrudes out, several times the protrusion swings uncomfortable close to my face when opening the door - and right at eye level. As OnStar support would say: "Be careful out there!"

" No Metal trim on items in rear seating area. My wife's main complaint is the Cheesy "carpet" , it looks like black weed block you use in your yard. We love the Car, but for near $50K Lux SUV?. Come on Buick, why do you have to cheap out

I put carpet liners in mine the week I picked it up. I have no idea what the carpet even looks like.

You have to remember where this vehicle is assembled and it's primary audience. I don't think Buick particularly cares what US buyers think.

I've had mine for about 2 years and getting ready to send it up the road. A nice/practical vehicle around town but not very comfortable on road trips.

Hello UtahPaul!

On my 2019 Equinox, I found some trim pieces on Ali Express. (See Sample Picture)

I checked for something similar for the 2021+ Envision but have not found any trim pieces at this time. I thought since they sell so many Envisions in China, they would have add on accessories. I'll keep checking!

Also, I think I may have figured out why they removed the mirror amber turn signals.
When the Blind spot system detects a car, it lights up the yellow LED icon.
When you put on your turn signal, it blinks very fast. I don't know but I would still prefer the amber turns like they have on the Chinese version. (See Sample Picture)

We've had our 21 Avenir for almost 2 years and feel it is a great car for long distance road trips. My wife and I have travelled to Florida from Northern Ontario a couple of times with it. 14 hour days are a breeze. Heated and cooled seats, lumbar support and seat massage are great comfort features. I really like the wrap around dash with the large screen, the support the seats provide, dual climate zones, sound system and sunroof enhancing the journey. A couple of issues for us would be the lack of cargo space and limited trailering capacity (only 1500 lbs) while the Cadillac equivalent hauls 3500 lbs (same power train). Love the white leather interior.

I have only had my Envision for 4 days now, 1 dislike so far. The debris and slush that accumulates at the bottom of the doors. I'm thinking its designed this way though so that the crud goes there instead of on the sill where you can drag your pants thru it. Minor dislike as well, needs more storage in the cargo area where the spare tire is, my Equinox had lots of room there to keep all my junk, in the Envision there is no room for my emergency kit.
