Hi gang, we know the Buick Envision has more orange peel in it's overall paint quality than other brands we own, but this area of the rear lift gate is really bad as to a "orange peel" effect. The strange thing is up close it looks fine, but step away a few feet, say 6 - 7 feet and take a look, be sure to have light reflecting on that panel with something in the distance reflecting onto the finish as my attached photos do.....the first photo is a few feet away, then more close ups with our camera, see the orange peel? I went to our local Buick dealer last Sunday while they were closed to inspect each of their Envisions, They all ( 2023 Envisions ) have this same issue regardless of trim. Not sure if this is a 2023 model thing. I also contacted Buick Cares and documented this. Have a meeting with the dealer next week. Hopefully this can be lightly wet sanded with 2500 - 3000 grit and then buffed out. The rest of the car looks okay, not perfect, but we can live with it as to the finish.

Okay, here's the update, Buick dealer saw the issue, documented the issue, sent it to GM, I was called today that the orange peel is within "factory spec's".....so they will not correct this small panel, so I took it to my local body shop that I trust & have used in the past and they will take care of it for $150 total....good luck with yours folks
And the results.....from today 3/7/23, after clear coat paint correction and buffing....it now matches the rest of the car as to paint quality.....100% out of pocket as Buick and GM refuses to cover this orange peel issue, the first two photos are from today, and the last photo from three weeks ago.....this is on all 2023 Envisions regardless of trim, and I've also seen it on 2022's and 2021's.....again, cannot be seen up close, but step away about 6 feet and take a look, on all colors, it's because of the Robots spraying this panel, so I'm told
