I have a 2022 Envision Essence and the front camera will only come on when you are stopped and put the car in reverse and then drive.

It doesn't work if you press the camera button on the home screen?

NO. Only when stopped and push reverse and then forward.

What displays when you press the camera button on the home screen?

All options including the front and reaara. The front will come on with this biutton as well as the rear when you double click. However, the rear will come on when parking or backing up but the front will not unless you press reverse and then drive.

Now I understand. My '22 does the same thing. I never really thought of it as an issue.
Why would you want to watch a image on the dash screen while driving forward? I find it distracting enough, to view texts.
My new 2022 Envision Avenir does the same thing. When reversing, only the rear and side cameras are displayed. No need to see the front as I am pulling away. Then when putting it into DRIVE, the front cameras come on momentarily, I assume, so you can see if there are any objects immediately in front of the car that poses risk of hitting. When I pull into my garage and get close to the back wall, the front camera automatically comes on with the distance monitors giving me an idea of how close I am.

Mine does that except when you pull into the garage, the front does not come on
I can understand not wanting to hit something when you pull into a spot.

What I did was move the Camera App Icon the the first screen lower left.
When I pull into a spot, I tap the home button, then the Camera Icon.
Most times if you are going less than 7 or 8 MPH, it comes on. (y)
