Don't hold your breath, bought my 2022 Avenir in April and I keep getting different answers from everyone. In late July there was a GM Press Release saying that the chips were being shipped to dealers beginning the first week of August, dealer told me that I had to put my name on a list so I told them to do so. 3 weeks later dealer told me that there was no list and that I would be getting a letter in the mail similar to a recall notice. I wrote to GM directly and they called me but had no idea when the chips would be available and didn't know anything about the July Press Release. Contacted my dealer again 3 weeks ago, the salesman got back to me and said that he had service order them and that they said that it takes about a week for them to arrive. After hearing nothing, I called my dealer yesterday and they told me that now GM is doing something different and that they can't be ordered and that they'll send a letter out by VIN# and you'll bring that to the dealer for them to order them. At this point, I'm thinking that the retrofit probably isn't going to happen, which if that's the case, just tell me so.

Just bought my 2022 Envision Avenir in early October. They salesman told me then that they would be in the end of October. Well that is here and gone. Now he tells me the same as you got from yours that I will be notified by GM as to when they will be in. It is starting to get cold here so it better be soon.

Bought My 2022 Envision Avenir on May 3, 2022 - my dealer told me that they send them kits and then they contact us when the kit for my VIN comes in. He said they were getting a couple a week, but that there was no rhyme or reason to what they get and when. It is VERY frustrating.

Just bought our new 2022 Envision. How long has it taken for you do get the chips for your heated seats and your backup warning alarm?
Juat heard from a Buick dealer that the chips for all Buick models EXCEPT the Envision have been released and it will be "sometime in the first quarter" for us!

Go to this website and type in your VIN#. I wasn't aware of this page until someone provided it on another thread regarding the seat issue. When I checked my VIN#, I saw that the program for my vehicle had been listed as available on August 25, 2022 and the status was listed as "Incomplete", when looking at the meaning for "Incomplete" further down that page, it's listed that the owner had not yet brought the vehicle in to be fixed. BS, as I have been in contact with both GM and my dealer at least half a dozen times since that August 25th date and nobody knew anything about it or when it would be available. When I brought the printout in to my dealer as proof, they agreed that my vehicle was now eligible and ordered the parts. If that link hadn't been posted for me to check, I still would be waiting, very frustrating.

I went to this site, typed my VIN in, but the only thing there is the recall for the DRL lights!

I got the same runaround from my dealership and have been for nearly a year now. When I mentioned the recall notice and the August date they transferred me over to parts who confirmed that they do have the microchip in stock. Have an appointment for next week. Thanks for the guidance!!

I tried the web site and get the looped in listing my VIN, search and then VIN again, search, just around and around. The dealer says he’ll call me and the “We’ve had phone problems. I’ll check and call you.” Can you say STONEWALL ????? What’s a better way to find out where the chip for my heated seats might be sitting ????? THANKS in advance for your help.
