2017 model essence Dash lights will not dim and Nav screen display will not shut off. Have looked through forum and read issues other people had but did not find answer. When rotating the vertical wheel next to headlight switch I see the analog clock on dash getting dim/bright which tells me the wheel works BUT the dash lights do not dim. For Nav screen when selecting "display off" it goes to a greyish blue screen but not what I would call off. It is very bright when driving at night as are the dash lights. Dealer said that dash issue is normal based on ambient light sensor at base of windshield. And to turn Nav brightness off I have to turn unit off, which makes no sense. ANYONE have issue like this? How was it fixed. I know there is a TSB about updating software that I will look into. bumper-bumper warranty is almost out so I want to resolve soon.

My dash lights and nav display dim when the wheel is turned. Your dealer is wrong.
