The lower mark is the minimum the oil should be at the upper mark is the maximum you should be at. Being above or below that can cause critical damage. Anywhere within the crosshatch is fine but the middle is always an ideal location.
dipstick reading
2022 Buick Envision dip stick shows only half full. Dealer says okay. I prefer a full dipstick. What is correct?
