Hi guys!
I have a 2022 Buick Envision Avenir, and today I noticed an “electronic gearing sound” coming from the rear wheel wells that last for three seconds upon opening any door after the car has been parked for a while, unlocked. I have heard something similar on other SUVs with electronic air suspension when you lower or raise the car while parked. Does the envision has something of the sort? Does anyone know if it has to do with the adaptive active dampening system on the Avenir? Why this May be happening upon opening any door? Your insights will be appreciated. Thanks,K

Common in many modern vehicles. It is the emissions evaporative system self test.

It's easy to get freaked out by it. The Buick seems do it as you exit the vehicle. My wife's Subaru seems to do it at random times in the middle of the night.

I have the same model, are you able to hear any buzzing sound from the overhead console when the car is on? Mine is not very loud but noticeable.

I do not hear any noise from the overhead console.
