I am considering to purchase a 2017 Envision Essence with the 2.5 L engine. I would love to go to the Turbo engine but with the amount of driving I would do, it is not financially feasible to spend that much money on premium gas. Anyone here have the Envision Essence that takes it to long trip and have to go through mountains with a full load? Wife, kids and luggage. Will of course be passing slow moving semi trucks. We are moving from a Passat diesel and yes I understand that it does not have the same power or torque but I justt need to get a feel of how "bad" it is

Thanks

If you are looking at new consider shipping one in from the Midwest as that is where the better deals are. Most versions of the Envision can be found for about $10,000 off MSRP. Used models can be slightly better deals but more difficult to find.

Most dealerships have shipped before around the country and with a new car the warranty works at any Buick dealership.

Don't be afraid to run 87 octane in a Premium 2.0T as my wife has been running it and it seems to run well, but is down on power from running Premium 92 octane in the east. Gas mileage is the same for any octane, at least on the highway.

VW TDI vs Envision

I switched from a VW TDI to the Envision Turbo.

Loved the Diesel when it was clean. Hated it when it was exposed as dirty.

Not much difference in performance, but major difference at the pump. A gallon of Diesel in AZ is slightly more expensive than premium, but my 38.9 lifetime mpg on the Diesel is now 25 on the Envision

No Traverse RS's on the lot yet. Next month for sure. Just no 25% off like the Acadia was. I could only get about 10% off.
