That is pretty sad to see happen on comparison tests like this but the reality of this one would be I doubt the vast majority would be put into a situation where one wheel is only touching the ground. Typically going up hill though, if all 4 wheels are dealing with slippage and it can't send the power to one wheel, they could also result badly... that one is a realistic situation.

Not if you are accelerating into an intersection and turning the wheel where the weight transfer is off the inside, lead wheel. Even my Prem ll with AWD will slip the inside wheel for a split second before everything wakes up and takes over.
