Hello!
I was a happy and proud owner of a fully loaded 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT, Sadly a mouse caused it to be written off last Spring, although it was ten years ( i bought it in 2006) old it looked brand new. When I ordered it they were a new model and many people asked me about this new crossover. I was sad to say goodbye.

I looked at a few crossovers and instantly fell in love with the Envision when I found it online.

In June I ordered a Midnight Amethyst fully loaded Premium II Envision with Black leather interior and plum accents. I have been told that my order has made it to the production line but in all reality that doesn't mean much as it could still be a couple of months before it makes it here.

I was active in a Caliber forum and I look forward to keeping up to date with any new developments and recalls.

Fingers crossed for a speedy delivery from China for us all!

Welcome to the forum.

What other crossovers were you looking at? Just curious to know since i'm open to other brands, don't feel any need to just get a Buick or something from an American brand.

Hello

A mouse and or a squirrel got under my hood and chewed electrical wires and made a nest in the air system. Because we have deer mice in our area which carry the hantavirus our provincial insurance agency (there is only one, yes they have a huge monopoly) simply write vehicles off and pay out normally much less than what the vehicle is worth. The vehicle then gets destroyed.

Hi Napoleon

Nissan Murano
Honda CR-V
Mazda CX-5
Acura RDX

My dream crossover would be the Lexus RX in white, however for the price I am paying for the Envision ($65,000) I could get the Lexus however it would be a base model compared to all the bells and whistles I am getting with the Envision.

That's a good goal. Always liked the new RX and it's also on my list but right at the top for me is the Mercedes GLE coupe, it's a long shot but if I don't reach it at worst i'll land on the RX.

Fortunately we're not buying the RX right now, being in its first year of production we just don't know what issues to expect. By time we're ready most of the common bugs should be worked out.

the goal...

Always wanted something a bit bigger with more power, aggressive styling and that wouldn't be nearly as common, overall the GLE fits those needs and more. Seen a few of them in person and after that it all clicked. Next step is to drive one once i'm ready.

Have you checked out the Brabus GLE43 ? Recently caught whiff of that and oh boy is it amazing. Complete features all standard, 22" wheels, over 400hp.

Holy moly ! Have you contacted the dealer or got any updates from them in regards to what's going on or where it is if it's in transport ?

I ordered my Envision Premium II on July 22, 2016.

It was built the week of October 3. I was advised then by my dealer that it would make its way to the Port of China and that I should have it in 8-10 weeks.

It is now 10 weeks later and I was informed last week that it is still sitting at the Port of China and has not yet been shipped. They said I may get it in January?

I have not been able to locate a suitable in stock vehicle here in Southern Ontario and I really have no idea when delivery will be made.

Needless to say, I am not impressed.

That's a tad bit ridiculous. I understand if it's a minor delay but that's excessive. Have you asked if you'll get any compensation for the time?

No mention of compensation.

If the dealer locates a similar vehicle I would have to pay full list price for any extra options the vehicle had i.e. moonroof.

That's nonsense. I would be complaining and possibly even go back and tell them I don't even want it anymore. After it's been so long, I would be quite upset.

I was advised yesterday that my 2017 Envision is in New York and should be here in London Ontario in a "few weeks".

Four weeks ago I was told it was still in China and that it would be coming through Vancouver. How it got to New York I'll never know and
apparently the dealer is in the dark too regarding how these vehicles are shipped.

Hello London!

I have not logged on here for awhile! So about 6 days after my last post I lost it and I became very done with waiting for a car over 5 months. I phoned the dealership at the end of my work day and told them I need my down payment back (that's another story) and I began looking at other vehicles I was comparing, as I was phoning dealerships I happened to come across a fully loaded Premium II Envision in Midnight Amethyst . . . it was the car I ordered minus the plum accents. I bought it that night.

I love my Envision and I am falling more in love with it each day. I have not tried the park assist and not sure I ever will.

London did you finally get your Envision? What I found out is that the original dealership I was with was giving me a bunch of &^%$ and likely sold my Envision from under me twice. The Envision I found online was ordered and shipped in stellar time compared to the story line I was getting.

My new Envision arrived on January 12th.

I am very pleased with it and it is everything I expected.

I too have not tried the park assist and I doubt I will.

Happy driving!
