Looking for options

I have been looking for options I assumed would be standard on a 2022 Envision. The first option we didn’t miss until we got home. That is the HomeLink system. I just figured I would program the garage door opening feature when we got home. To my surprise, there wasn’t any garage door opening buttons. My 2001 Chevy Avalanche had the HomeLink system standard back in 2001, so I took it for granted it would be on a car that have every option under the sun.
Called the local Buick parts department today and they said the HomeLink option was not a after market opinion. The HomeLink system is readily available from several locations on the internet. Wondering if there is anyone else out there with this problem.

The other option I am having a problem finding, is the solid cargo cover. I seen one on a 2021 Envision, but it’s like they are not making them for the 2022. There are mounting studs on the liftgate and for hinges by the back seat, but can't find one.

I think homelink may only be available in the Avenir.

I see it in a lot of the Avenir with Home Link, wonder if the Essence and Avenir have the same wiring harness to the overhead console? I say that because my local Buick dealer said he wasn’t sure if a aftermarket HomeLink could be installed without a lot of wiring.
I know this doesn't get you a button on your envision but Chamberlain garage door company sells garage door openers that have wifi that allows you to monitor and control your garage door with your phone.
You don't have to go out and buy a whole new garage door opener either. They also sell a kit that allows you to control most any garage door made after 1996 or so with your phone. The kit is only like $43 and comes with a wifi controller/hub and a sensor that mounts(with double faced tape) to the garage door.
It is called " MyQ ". You can see if the door is open or shut and open or shit it ANYWHERE that you have a signal on your phone. It is one of the best purchases I've made ever. It's cheap and the app actually works. You can also add other items to view/ control like cameras etc.

Thanks for the reply. Wonder if that control will work through the Envision, cell phone connection? We can navigate, play music, get messages and make and receive calls, through the cell phone connection. It would be great if I could down load the MyQ app to the Envision.

That's an interesting idea. I'm not an expert in the latest automotive tech but I have never heard of downloading anything other than update software to a car.
MyQ is a free download though so download it to your phone and then connect your phone to the car however you normally do it and see if it shows up on the car.
Do you use android auto or apple car?

We use iPhones and it’s great the way the Envision recognizes the phone of who is behind the wheel.
