General Motors is moving forward with plans of bringing the Chinese-made Buick Envision crossover to the U.S.
Although the American automaker hasn’t officially confirmed the news, two people with knowledge of the plans told Automotive News that GM was likely to give the green light to export the Envision from China to the U.S. starting as early as late spring. The company hopes to sell between 30,000 to 40,000 units a year in the U.S., with the five-seat Envision becoming the first light vehicle built in China and sold in the U.S. by one of the Detroit Big Three.
