Meet the Buick Avista Concept

Buick had a surprise for everyone at the North American International Auto Show this year -- the Buick Avista Concept. Looks like Buick is showing that it can be sexy as well.

The Avista is a sporty coupe that celebrates its 113th birthday in 2016. It is about the size of the Chevrolet Camaro, which it is based upon. It has a long nose, short deck and seating for two plus "two".

Under the hood there is a twin-turbo V6 that delivers 400 hp to the rear wheels.

Now we just have to wait to see what this concept looks like when it moves to production and hits showroom floors.

Buick Avista Concept Wins Award Already!

I'm sure Buick is happy to hear that their newest concept has already won an award, the EyesOn Design Award for Design Excellence-Concept Car, given at the north American international Auto Show. The award is given to the best production and concept vehicle designs making their worldwide debut in Motor City.

Buick is on a bit of a roll now seeing as the brand won this same award last year with its Avenir concept.

“Design has always played a large role in Buick’s rich history and recent success. The Avista concept has been a labor of love by the team of designers, sculptors engineers and talented craftspeople, including our UAW partners, who created this beautiful statement of Buick design. Avista represents the future essence of Buick design,” Bryan Nesbitt, executive director of Buick Global Design, recently stated.

Really liking the idea of this. It's like the return of the Rivera and what might one day have the potential to fill in the lack of a Grand National. Poor mans Maserati GranTurismo.

I wish I could sit inside it and play around with that center infotainment system. It looks amazing like they stole from Millenium Falcon LOL. Is there any video review of it?
