My dealer ordered my microchip in December and it just arrived for my VIN. However, the dealer says they can't install it yet because I don't have my letter from GM and I don't have a recall active for it! Cart before the horse?! WTF???

My dealer called and scheduled my 2022 Envision for heated/ventilated seat chip install. Th3 dealer called me and said the chip won’t work because there needs to be a software update from GM…which is not presently scheduled. I checked online using my VIN to see if there were and recalls and it shows as “No Incomplete Recalls for my VIN”.
