Remote Start

Today when I went into the garage, the Envision was running and locked. I didn't do either. It actually scared me. I had no idea how long the car had been running. The key fob was the only thing in my pocket, but apparently I accidentally locked the car and started it with the fob, without knowing. This kind of concern me. What if I hadn't noticed the car running?

Usually the remote start will stop the vehicle after 10-15 minutes. Not sure what year you have but my 2017 stops after that amount of time.

Yes, thanks for the reply. My Envision is a 2022, still learning about it. That night I read the manual and it says it only runs for 15 minutes. Even at 15 minutes the CO levels could become dangerous In a inclosed garage.
While true, the total number of times this has happened to me on my 2018 with over 50,000 miles now is one time. If you don't put hard things in your pocket that has the key, it is very difficult if not impossible to do the key combination that starts the car. I took the hard item that was in the pocket out and it has never happened again in the 3.5 years I have owned the car (so far).

Believe it or not, the key fob was the only thing in my pocket when this happened.
The 2nd gen Envision only needs to have the remote button pushed twice to start. The previous model required the lock button to be depressed before remote start would work. Not sure if this is adjustable.
