OK, I realize that it may be a "required" warning, but compared to my prior cars, the seat belt warning in my 2022 Envision is VERY annoying! We would NEVER not buckle up, except after picking up our mail (centralized mailboxes in condo development) and driving through our neighborhood home. That's when we would like to not re-buckle up! However, since the warning chimes continuously repeat and are LOUD, we buckle up! Any way to disable the warning? I did disable the one reminder for when you take the car out of park, but as soon as you put it into Drive - bingo!

It can be changed in your settings.. I don't know the particulars off hand but you can read about it. It's on the screen under settings somewhere.... I know vague but you get the gist of it.

Ya…. I when I trade in my Buick it will be the last one one I ever own because of the annoying seat belt warnings… Literally while you’re in park when you first start the car it’s blaring.. You can’t get into drive without fastening the belt.. The Buick engineers are assholes..

Wait, are you saying you actually cannot put the car into drive if your seatbelt is not clicked into the hook? Sorry that's what your second to last sentence makes it sound like.
I have a 2016 Envision. Only issue I have regarding my seatbelt noise, like seriously I could be fine until that seatbelt noise goes off then I'm cussing up a storm and I'm ready to punch something in the car, is how LOUD it is. Never in my life have I had a car with a seatbelt warning this loud.
When I'm on a call connected thru Bluetooth, I swear it goes off louder and this is when it actually hurts my ears. My warning doesn't go off a whole lot. Honestly, I think only once sometime after I've started driving.
There's only one other issue that boils my blood with this car and I think ones that were made after my car don't have this issue so y'all should be happy. I absolutely loath that there is no button in my envision so I can stop the engine from shutting off everytime I stop. Whoever said let's not add the button in these Envisions should be fired.
Only thing I can do to by pass it is by putting the car in neutral right before coming to a stop. You then have to be careful when it comes to inching up or slightly lifting your foot off the break a little after you put it in drive (which I do once I'm at a full stop so I don't forget to do it). Then there's the annoyance of coming to a stop sign, you don't know if you should do it or not and then decide you should be good just to end up not being good. I'm determined to master this skill but it gets tough in certain situations.
The thing we found that you can install to stop the engine from shutting off is over $100 and my husband grew up working on cars since his dad used to race and he did some research on it and he isn't sure if he likes the idea of it. So IDK.
But other than that I love this car.
I've had a 4cylinder suv in the past and said never again as it was the slowest thing ever but this little 2-turbo engine is not your average engine. I wasn't happy in the beginning when we first found out we had to use premium but I'm over that. I read somewhere that it's the same one they put in a fast but not fastest sports car. I forget which one, I read that article years ago.
I have a lead foot and my husband says whenever I'm at a light and in front he said it's like I become a different person and no matter what kind of car is next to me I'm always trying to race them. He isn't wrong and I rarely lose. I cannot stand being behind slow drivers. I ain't got time for that. I drive bc I have somewhere I'm going, if I'm not going anywhere my ass is at home. I find myself at home more and more lately as I'm losing my patience with the way people drive anymore.

So, I was required to take driver safety courses throughout my career with (major oil company). The best things I learned were: 1) Put the seat belt on before ignition. Voila, no seat belt noise. I have seen so many people driving down the road, struggling to yank on the seatbelt while navigating the road, looking down, looking around. This is the sign of an impatient driver. Once you have the habit ingrained to put on the seatbelt before ignition, life is so much better. 2) No jackrabbit starts. You get better gas mileage, and you might avoid hitting that red-light runner. 3) The 2-second rule for following cars. Just be sure you stay 2-seconds behind the next car, at any speed. These days, the safety folks are recommending 3-seconds, and even more at highway speeds.
As for the Engine shut-off, my previous Encore did not have the button but my new Envision has a handy-dandy button on the console to stop the auto-shutoff. Buick engineers listened. (You gotta use it each time you start the car from scratch, but it's easy.)
