Sluggish shifting?
Hi - I just bought a 2020 Envision Essence with 5000 miles on it. I went on a 1000 mile road trip that day so I got a lot of inspection time in.
It’s currently back at the dealership for tint and a paint repair. I mentioned this to them, they did a diagnostic and of course nothing is ‘wrong’.
I have a question about the transmission. When I accelerate on a highway, the rpms go up to 3500-4000. All fine. But when I settle into the new speed, the rpms often don’t drop back down. I have to remove my foot from the gas and wait for the rpms to drop. It’s like it gets stuck in the higher gear and takes extra time to downshift.
My precious card were much larger (Tahoe and Avalanche), so I don’t think my expectations are too high.
I hope this makes sense. They’re going to have it for another week for the paint and I don’t want it to come back with this problem!
