Swirl Marks
Got the Ebony twilight metallic about a month ago and the swirl marks are driving me crazy.. I used to be a detailer back in the 90s and none of the tricks I used to use seem to help, maybe it’s just my OCD. Granted the paint is different now and so are the cleaners. Used clay then Maguires ultra cut with a wool pad followed by ultimate polish with a foam pad and still isn’t touching it. Obviously I’m scared about going with anything harder just wondering if anyone here has had similar issues or luck.

Eek that is rough for sure and yes far worse than mine. I worked as a body shop manger and trust me no body can beat a factory paint job. You will always get dust in the clear coat and very likely a few small runs. that’s even more annoying to me.
I’ve almost got mine perfect now here’s what I did
Step one: Maguires ultra cut #105 with a Wool pad.
Step two: Maguire's swirl Mark remover #9 with a Correcting foam pad
Step three Maguire’s ultimate polish with a foam polishing pad.
Step four torque detail Ceramic shine.

if you can get them to replace the trim great but a repaint should be a 100% last resort
